Have you ever felt like slacking off your work a bit? Doing just a “good enough” job? Maybe you didn’t feel well that day, maybe you didn’t have a good day or maybe you felt just a bit lazy. Or you may have thought:  “the boss is not looking, he will never know; the client will never notice, so why bother?” You were probably right. Their eyes were not on you at that moment.

Here is a question…what is the difference between a quality and non-quality delivery?

imagesThe difference is in what you do when no one is looking. It is more visible when people are watching of course, but that is not the point. It is too late then.

I am sure you have been in a restaurant or a shop where the staff was just awful. No service, no care. Think about it, that was actually the time when you were watching. Can you imagine what they do when they are sure no one is looking???

My point is this: you cannot deliver quality only from time to time. There is no such thing. You either give everything you’ve got and deliver top nudge quality or you don’t. One way or the other your clients, colleagues, team members or bosses will feel you are not doing your best.

If you want to succeed in whatever field of your life or business, you always have to aim high, do your best and deliver the highest quality you are capable of. That is the only way to a long term success. There are no shortcuts.

It is this simple, although it is not easy. Not easy at all. That’s why only the best ones succeed.
